Locations in Vancouver & Surrey for Wedding Photography

Your wedding is a special day, and it’s important to be able to capture it on camera. Many couples opt for a wedding photo session, before or after their wedding. Here are some of my personal favorite locations in Vancouver, Richmond, and Surrey for those who want their wedding photographs to capture the true essence of their love and make the wedding a day to remember.

Bear Creek – Located in the heart of Surrey, this park is popular for it’s arrangements of flowers and vast open spaces. There is even a chapel and a pavilion, along with many trails.

Gastown – This old town has it’s own unique history and appearance. Home to the famous Steam Clock and Gassy Jack statue, Gastown is the perfect location for those that love a combination of old and new.

Steveston Village – Steve is a quaint, little historic town with many unique locations for beautiful wedding photos. Perfect for those opting for a vintage themed weddiing.

Dr.Sun Yat Sen Garden – A classical Chinese garden located in historic Chinatown, this garden is the first of its kind outside China. The arrangements of rocks and plants and the twisting paths and elegant courtyards will make you as close to nature as can be.

Hycroft Manor – It’s a beautiful building, both on the outside and inside. Lots of green space outside along with the vintage vibe will make your photos one of a kind.

UBC Boathouse – This modern building is the perfect location for the couples that love water. Situated right on the water, amazing views will definitely make your photos memorable.

Queen Elizabeth Park – Being located at the highest point in Vancouver, you’ll be able to see some amazing views of the park, city and mountains. Combined with the many amazing displays of flowers, and you have an amazing backdrop for your pictures!

Stanley Park – With it’s amazing waterfront views and location in downtown Vancouver, Stanley Park is perhaps one of the most popular wedding shoot locations. The forestry will give your photos a rural, enticing feel. The Seawall is great, not only for a lovely walk, but for capturing your precious moments in photographs.

Sunset Beach – Overlooking English Bay, this beach has lots going for it. While the impressive views of the water are remarkable, the sunset (as the name implies) is unforgettable.

I have been fascinated with shapes, textures and colors since early childhood. Makeup, art and fashion are natural extensions of these interests and my passion for playing with color led me to a degree in art, while my love of fashion steered me towards a diploma in fashion design. I'm currently a full-time Makeup & Hair Artist and Skin Care Professional and work from my home studio in Surrey, Canada

Its like you read my mind! You appear to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with a few pics to drive the message home a bit, but other than that, this is excellent blog. A great read. I’ll definitely be back.
